Change Of Career

Out of respect to the people involved I will be referring to them as employer and supervisor.

Yesterday I informed my employer that I will no longer be working for Conixi.  Even though he treated me with respect and dignity it was the actions of my direct supervisor that finally made up my mind.  Even though I have been working with my supervisor for the past 16 years in different companies, I couldn’t endure his treatment of me anymore.

It all came to a head yesterday when he called me after work and berated me over the phone.  His actions yesterday have made me come to this decision.  Several times over the past 16 years he has caused me to consider resignation on several occasions.  Working with him at Conixi I have had to deal with his dishonesty, lack of respect and inability to see that I have a life outside of work.  Even though he helped me get my current job I demand to be treated with respect.

What does the future hold for me?  The future for me is unclear and unsettling but I will try to keep a positive attitude. One decision that I have already made is that I will not be seeking employment with a collections company.  I hope that I will find employment where I have a sense that I am making a difference, not doing the same tasks day after day.

I would like to show my respect and admiration for my employer.  I am sorry that I have had to put the future of Conixi in jeopardy.  He has treated me respect and I consider him the best employer I have worked for.  He has incredible entrepreneurial skills and I wish him all the best in future.
