• Post Holiday Season Catch Up

Once again holiday season is over.  That time of year when you are bombarded with repetitious Christmas music and jostled around in the hustle and bustle at the shopping centers is finished. Here in Toronto we had a very cold holiday season.  Frigid cold weather was a constant over the holidays and has finally let up a couple of days ago.  Yesterday and today has been milder but with the warm weather has come rain.  The rain has washed most of the snow away and the only snow that can be seen is where it has been piled up. The new subway extension has completely changed my commuting schedule.  After…

  • Office Christmas Party

Today we had the office Christmas party at La Grill (lagrill.ca).  This restaurant was suggested by Paul and it was the first time I went there.  The decor was nice and inviting but we were seated at a too small of a table and the chairs were wobbly.  The food was different but enjoyable.  I had the lamb kebob with a Diet Pepsi for a drink.  Very good. There was a couple of dishes that were for the whole table that were quite enjoyable.  The baba ghanoug was quite enjoyable with the pita bread.  I think I will get it instead of hummus from now on.  The shared beef dish near…

  • New Subway Extension

On December 17, 2017 a new extension was added to TTC’s line 1.  The subway now goes all the way up to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.  This extension will be an economic boom for the suburbs and decrease traffic time. I have been waiting a long for this and I am anxious to see how it affects my daily commute.  Several bus routes have been changed or eliminated, including the one I use, Jane 35D.  Since losing a direct route to work I will have to make other arrangements.  For the this mornings commute I will took the regular 59 Maple Leaf bus to Jane.  At Jane I will no longer…

  • First Snow Day

Today was Toronto’s first major snowfall of the year.  As usual the roads were a complete mess even though it was only a couple of centimeters.  It took me 2 1/2 hours to get home.  I really missed riding home on my motorcycle in 30 minutes.

  • Motorcycle Stored For Winter

Friday after work I brought my motorcycle in for winter storage.  Even though it has been cold and windy ever since, I miss my motorcycle very much.  Can’t wait until spring when I can go out riding again.
